Review

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a visually grand and colorful film with all the elements of a typical big-budget Bollywood movie. Ranbir Kapoor shows off his charm and physique, serving as eye-candy for the audience, while Shraddha Kapoor flaunts her beauty. Unfortunately, the movie feels so typical that nothing about it stands out as unique.

Ranbir and Shraddha in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

It’s safe to say that Ranbir carries the entire film. Shraddha also does her part, adding glamour that helps hold things together. That being said, the movie isn’t bad. It has an interesting story, but the screenplay is weak.

The stand-up comedian Abhinav Singh Bassi, in his acting debut, is a breath of fresh air. His chemistry with Ranbir is excellent and provides some of the best lighthearted moments in the film.

However, the movie’s “loudness” becomes irritating after a while. It feels more like a promotion for fashion and lifestyle than an actual film. The screen is filled with fashion, glamour, bright colors, luxury buildings, and exotic locations, which causes the actual story to fade into the background.

Overall, the movie feels like a familiar story that has been told many times over the last decade, just presented in a modern style.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a movie to pass the time and enjoy watching the handsome Ranbir Kapoor and glamorous Shraddha Kapoor, then this film is worth a try.
